The featured work

Made for
one wall.

Step into a quiet room after dark, where each canvas is built around a single story — palette, scale and subject chosen for the wall it will live on, and the person who will live with it. Hung the way it would hang at home, with room to breathe.

Curator's note

A painting should belong to a wall the way a memory belongs to a person — made for that one place, and impossible to mistake for anywhere else.

Some pieces begin with a feeling, others with a photograph or a place that matters. Each is built from there — original, signed, never reproduced. No edition exists; the work on your wall is the only one of its kind anywhere.

The collection

Hung, one work at a time.

A slow walk through recent canvases — abstract, figurative and luminous. Each is original and one of one; tap a piece to ask about living with it.

In the studio

Where the canvases come from.

No prints, no shortcuts — each painting is built by hand at the easel, layer over layer.

An afternoon at the easel.
The first marks.

After the lights go down

One canvas, two paintings.

A piece can be made to live two lives. In daylight it reads as a quiet, finished work; under UV light the hidden layers ignite and the whole surface begins to glow — exactly as it does here, photographed under black light.

Reactive pigment is worked into the composition from the very first pass, so the night version isn't a trick laid on top — it's a second painting hiding inside the first. A favourite for studios, music spaces, and anyone who wants a wall that turns on after dark.

Tina Cozart among her work

The hand behind the work

Every canvas is built slowly, by hand.

Tina Cozart paints from her studio in layers — colour worked into colour until a surface holds its own light. Nothing is printed, nothing is reproduced; what arrives on your wall is the only one of its kind.

She works most often in butterflies, abstracts and luminous figures, and loves a piece that quietly changes through the day — and, for the UV works, comes alive again after dark.

Commission a canvas

From first conversation to the wall.

Unhurried, collaborative, and easy to follow — the way a work is acquired before it ever hangs.

  1. I

    The conversation

We talk through what the piece is really about — the subject, the room, the feeling — and the wall it will hang on. This is where the idea takes shape.

  2. II

    Concept & palette

Tina settles composition, colour and scale, and shares the direction with you before any paint goes down — so the two of you are aligned from the start.

  3. III

    The painting

The canvas is built by hand over time, with progress shared along the way and room to adjust while the work is still open.

  4. IV

    Varnish & the wall

The finished piece is sealed, signed on the back, and carefully prepared for hanging — ready to live with the day it arrives.

Framed & finished

Made to last as long as the wall.

  • Varnished & signed

Each canvas is varnished to protect the surface and signed on the back — provenance that stays with the work for its lifetime.

  • Ready to hang

Pieces arrive prepared for the wall. Framing can be discussed if you'd like it; many works are built to hang beautifully unframed.

  • Simple, lasting care

Keep work out of direct sun and dust gently. Specifics are shared on delivery so the colour holds for years.
